I know the title of this blog is pretty vague, but I wasn’t really sure what to call it. Nikki suggested calling it a “party mix” because that’s what she saw it called on Pinterest. This recipe was inspired by a party mix that my aunt made at Christmas. She filled Mason Jars with pretzels, Goldfish crackers, and oyster crackers and gave them to everyone. They were baked in Worcestershire sauce. They were really yummy!

Unfortunately for Nikki, she couldn’t eat them because they had wheat and/or soy in them. This inspired her to make her own using her ingredients. It’s very easy to make and you can add whatever snacks you want.
Ingredients
1 bag of pretzels
1 box of crackers
Worcestershire sauce
Malt vinegar
We used Snyder’s of Hanover Gluten-Free Pretzels. You may remember them from this recipe. They are also soy and dairy-free. For the crackers, we used Manischewitz Gluten-Free Crackers. This brand is kosher.
Instructions
-Cover baking sheet with parchment paper
-Preheat oven at 350 degrees
-Place pretzels and crackers on baking sheet
-Drizzle pretzels and crackers with Worcestershire sauce and malt vinegar
-Bake 5 to 10 minutes at your preference
-Let cool before digging in
That’s it! You’re ready to serve or place into your own Mason Jar.
Drizzling the Worcestershire sauce and malt vinegar can drench the crackers and pretzels if it comes out too fast. If you can brush the liquid on, it would be easier to control. Worcestershire sauce got underneath some of the crackers (which is why they some look like there’s nothing on them). Baking it for 5 minutes probably would’ve been long enough if the sauce had been brushed on.
We thought the party mix came out really well and liked them a lot. It’s a great snack for a party, even just a party of one.

I’m glad to hear that, Gabriel. I’d love to know how it turns out.
I’m just like Nikki. I don’t feel bad anymore if restaurants and stores can’t make meals that suit my palette. I simply recreate them at home. Moreover, homemade snacks are the best.
Homemade snacks are also great because you can control what goes in them and make it to your taste.
