For some reason, MLB decided that Easter weekend would be a good idea to have Opening Weekend at the Braves brand new ballpark. I had planned to go to Opening Day, but after issues with pre-sale & general tickets, we decided to only go to the Saturday game. I won’t go into details on my thoughts about that, other than the saltiness is real. But, I digress.
If you read my bio (…you still haven’t? Just click that button at the top of the page. Yep, that one.), you know that I revealed that I’m a big fan of pro wrestling. Yes, really. WWE’s NXT has a show in Spartanburg, SC tonight, so all is not lost. Afterward, we’re making the hour & a half drive to Atlanta.
Naturally we need snacks on this trip. We happened to be at Walmart & were able to grab a box of Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lara Bars. If you’re not familiar with Lara Bars, they have several different options. These hit the trifecta: gluten-, dairy-, & soy-free (not all of their bars are soy-free; these are.) The bars are also vegan & have fair trade certified chocolate in them. *insert praise hand emoji* We also came across Monopoly fruit snacks that also hit the trifecta. These are safe for her, but may not be for everyone.
With limited options at Walmart, we also hit up Food Lion. Nikki chose Glutino’s Gluten-Free Frosted Strawberry toaster pastries, Enjoy Life’s Soft Baked Snickerdoodles, & Van’s PB & J sandwich bars to take with her. Again, the trifecta is met with all three of these products.
I will post other blogs related to this trip when we get back. SunTrust Park has a new place called Centerfield Market that has gluten-free items. We will investigate if they are also soy- and dairy-free & I’ll report back. Prior to that game, we’re spending some time at Zoo Atlanta. They also have gluten-free options.
