Chips. Cookies. Fruit. Protein bars. Snack time is a good time, even with dietary restrictions due to food sensitivities or allergies. Whether you need something to hold you over between meals or you’re on the go, snacks always come in handy. Some of these snacks made good options for road trips. You’ll find a variety of snacks in this post, but you can also check out road trip snacks from our trip to Atlanta last year.

RXBAR
If you’re looking for a protein bar with few ingredients, the RX Bar is for you. It’s gluten-, soy-, and dairy-free. All the ingredients are right on the front of the packaging. Simple and tasty. They are yummy, but a bit on the pricey side.
LARABAR
You can find all kinds of flavors of LARABARS from Apple Pie to Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip to Key Lime Pie. They also have a few seasonal bars as well. Along with being gluten-, dairy-, and soy-free, LARABARS are also Non-GMO, Kosher, and Vegan. The Snickerdoodle bar tastes like a regular Larabar. The Pumpkin Pie bar tastes like a pumpkin flavored Larabar. The Gingerbread bar is the closest to the flavor is supposed to be.
Van’s Gluten Free Sandwich Bars
These are Nikki’s favorite bars as well as her go-to snack. She alternates between the Blueberry and Peanut Butter and the Strawberry and Peanut Butter. These bars are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, corn and NON GMO Project Verified.
Manischewitz Gluten-Free Crackers
Manischewitz is the largest manufacturer of kosher food products in the US. They’ve been around since 1888. Nikki discovered these crackers on the International aisle at Publix and has been addicted ever since. Note: these crackers contain eggs.

That last bit really made me crave chips and dip! This is a great list for those who are restricted by their diets!
I always get hungry when blogging about food. Every single time.
Those Plentils sound interesting Sam and what a cool name. I can just hear myself “Anyone for some Plentils 😀 ” And who would have thought that you could get dairy free cream cheese. It’s sounds like such a misnomer, but then again cheese is curdled milk so I suppose it doesn’t have to be animal based milk. I learn something new everyday.
I wasn’t sure what to think of the Plentils when Nikki ordered them from Vitacost. I couldn’t believe how good it was. They sent a small bag and it didn’t last long! lol We found a bigger bag at a local store that sold a lot of food that Nikki can eat. Sadly, they went out of business last month. Definitely gotta find someone that sells the big bags. 🙂 You’ll be surprised what “dairy” products you can find that don’t actually use dairy.
These are some great restriction friendly snack lists. I will show this to my mom. LOL!!! She gonna love this Toufayan Scoop-Able Gluten Free Pita Chips.
I’m so glad to hear that, Agnes. Those Scoop-Able chips are really good! I eat them plain sometimes, but it’s really good in a dip.
This Kite Hill Cream Cheese Style Spread looks really delightful. I really love to try this one. Perfect for my favorite biscuit.
That spread is really yummy and would be great on a biscuit!
These all look good but I love the look of he gluten free pita bread bites, delicious! I also had never heard of the Larabar before, the flavours sound really nice!
The gluten-free pita bites are really good (and addictive)! Larabar have a variety of flavors, which is really nice.
I am always keeping my eyes out for gluten free guides. You’ve got a great list that I can start with. It is convenient to keep bars and chips handy for when I become super hungry & nothing is available to snack on that is gluten free.
I’m glad you find this guide helpful, Evelyn! It’s always a good idea to try to keep something on hand when you can’t get to anything that meets your dietary needs.
I find so many Gluten Free options at my local stores now … I wish there were as many sugar free options in the market too. I have a hard time finding things which dont have some form of sugar in it.

I can imagine that can be really frustrating. So many foods have some form of sugar in it and it makes it so hard to avoid.
